TWR Canada 2024: A Year In Review

TWR Canada is motivated by one thing: helping everyone everywhere find and follow Jesus in a language they understand.

And because of your faithful prayers and generous support, the hope of Jesus Christ is reaching and transforming precious lives in hard, hidden and hostile places across the world.

As we approach the end of 2024, here is a brief recap highlighting the impact your partnership has had this year.

REACHING HARD, HIDDEN AND HOSTILE PLACES

Through different technologies and platforms, together we are reaching hard, hidden and hostile regions of the world with the hope of the gospel.

· 500 media players were distributed in West Africa, containing an audio New Testament and Thru the Bible sermons, as well as Bible Stories Alive for children. These devices are invaluable resources to pastors and believers living in rural areas, many of whom are illiterate and depend on audio content to learn and grow their biblical knowledge.

· Praise God for the establishment of the RTM Colombia office and required technology to broadcast radio programs to those enduring hard realities like poverty and violence.

· In Sri Lanka, many believers are hidden in pockets of isolation where there are no churches or resources to grow in faith. This year we celebrated more than a decade of the radio program God’s Unique Book filling the hearts of Sri Lankans with spiritual nourishment, with each program created in response to current events and listener inquiries.

· Web radio streaming continues to reach the Persian-speaking world with the Christian message and provide invaluable Biblical teaching to those living in a region very hostile to Christianity.

· Through our China ministry, fellowships have continued to equip the church in China and provide a spiritual community for growth. A new online seminary program with a focused mission track is meeting the growing demand for mission work in Chinese churches.

EQUIPPING DISCIPLES TO MAKE DISCIPLES

· Over 200 leaders in Indonesia attending a Discipleship Essentials training to be equipped on discipleship, small groups and leadership development, with an emphasis on intentional multiplication and using strategic planning in ministry.

· Praise God for lives in West Africa transformed through the French Discipleship Essentials program. Through small group material, devotionals, videos and radio programs church leaders and individuals are being empowered in under-resourced countries to embody the hands and feet of Jesus and grow the Church.

CELEBRATING TRANSLATION

· Praise God for the crucial contributions of translators this year towards programs like Bible Stories Alive that ensure fundamental Bible knowledge is made available to children across the world in their heart languages.

· TWR Canada shared the gospel and biblical teaching in more than 50 languages across 70 countries this year.
