Let's Celebrate World Radio Day!

Tomorrow (Feb 13^th) marks World Radio Day – a day celebrating the power and reach of radio, a medium that continues to transform and enlighten millions of people across the globe. Even in the digital era, radio is entering its second century of service, standing strong as one of the most reliable and accessible forms of media worldwide.

TWR Canada is grateful for the unique opportunity radio provides to spread the gospel and disciple believers. In celebration of World Radio Day, we’re excited to share a video that highlights the incredible growth of radio broadcasting, featuring TWR International’s developments over 70 years. Today, TWR Canada broadcasts to 23 countries in 14 different languages. But it’s not just about the numbers — it’s about the lives your generosity is touching.

One listener of our French Discipleship Essentials program broadcast in Cote d'Ivoire recently shared, "The broadcast urged us to walk in God’s ways. I was touched to know that Jesus is reaching out to us. I pledged to lay down my life to Jesus Christ. Thank you for the advice given in the program. I am ready to follow Jesus, to walk with him and do his will."

The Sinhalese program God’s Unique Book is another powerful example of how radio reaches out to the primarily Buddhist nation of Sri Lanka. One listener of this program shared, “I am a Buddhist. I am eighteen years old, and I have been listening to your program for a month. What is true freedom? The point was explained beautifully in your program. It was helpful for me. Thank you.”
