Connected in Faith in the Persian-Speaking World
In the Persian-speaking world, many individuals face intense persecution and isolation while seeking deeper meaning and truth, but TWR Canada is using innovative digital tools to bring the hope of the gospel safely and discreetly. Discover how TWR Canada is using technology to overcome barriers and share the hope of Christ with those in the Persian-speaking world.
The struggles facing those in the Persian-speaking world are very real. Amidst heavy religious restrictions, countless individuals are searching for truth and deeper meaning — but often feel isolated in that journey. For many, access to the gospel is limited, and expressing Christian faith can lead to severe persecution. However, we have an incredible opportunity to make a difference, and, together, we are bringing the hope of Christ to those who need it most!
With your generous support, TWR Canada uses innovative technology to overcome barriers and offer the hope of the gospel. In 2024 alone, 312,000 people visited the Persian website (which launched in 2017). Through apps, SD cards and cloud-based systems, we bring the gospel to regions where traditional missionaries cannot go. These creative access tools allow us to securely and discreetly distribute Christian content, reaching individuals who might otherwise never hear the story of Jesus.
YouTube, SoundCloud, Instagram and other social media platforms offer a safe, private space for people to engage with content at their own pace. Those new to Christianity can listen from the comfort of their homes – when it’s safe to do so – and explore their faith without fear. These digital tools also enable long-term engagement, allowing TWR Canada’s Persian ministry team to walk alongside individuals over time. Seekers can reflect, ask questions and grow spiritually at their own speed.
A Persian-speaking believer recently shared their journey: "I first discovered your content on YouTube and SoundCloud, initially seeing it as instructional. After two years, I came across the booklet The Meaning of the Cross of Jesus Christ and was captivated. During my second reading, I realized I am a sinner, unable to escape my punishment. But the one who has the right to punish me loves me so deeply that he took that punishment upon himself. This plan of salvation occupied my mind for six months, and eventually, I gave my heart to Jesus."
Because of your support, we continue to offer a safe, efficient and cost-effective way for people in the Persian-speaking world to explore the Christian faith while maintaining their privacy and security. Your partnership helps us meet individuals where they are, guiding them in their spiritual journey and answering their questions through innovative and environmentally sustainable digital means.
