The Means, Part 2

“Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he has done for my soul.” (Psalm 66:16)

God has done a great and beautiful thing for the souls of those who believe in him. Maybe we don’t really sit and think about it often enough, but let’s do this now. Let us really consider what God has done for our souls.

Consider: Has he died for you? Has he risen again for you? Has he washed you clean? Has he redeemed you? Has he forgiven you of every wrongdoing? Has he given you new life? Has he filled you with hope? Has he made you a new creation? What has he done for your soul?

If your faith is in Christ, then he has really and truly done each of these things for your soul.

This ought to inspire great joy and abundant gratitude in our hearts! May we want these beautiful things for everyone and long to see the lost be found. May we be devastated to know that so many have not yet heard of the beautiful things that God can do for their souls.

Let us be people who will not stay silent but instead tell others of the great things that God has done for our souls.
