Please join us in praying for...

Radio Broadcasting

Radio broadcasting allows listeners from hard-to-reach places to urban centres and everywhere in between to access the gospel. From FM stations in countries like Burundi to high-powered radio from Bonaire, Eswatini and more, radio broadcasting shares the hope of the gospel around the world.

1. Across Sri Lanka, God’s Unique Book introduces Buddhists to the truth of God’s Word. Pray that hearts across the country are open to receiving the good news of Jesus.

2. In Kenya, Bible Stories Alive is aired in Swahili on four FM stations across the country, one of which reaches into Ethiopia as well. Praise God for the enthusiasm of the children who listen!

3. Pray for plans for five new FM antennas in Quebec, which will expand the reach of Radio Espoir.

4. In Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, Women of Hope is broadcast in the French and Bambara languages. Pray that the women who listen feel valued and supported and that they will share Christ within their communities.

5. The Discipleship Essentials radio program is aired across Latin America and West Africa on medium-wave transmitters and local FM stations. Pray that listeners will deepen their faith and understanding of God’s Word.

6. Pray that, through Tools for Wise Leadership, leaders in South Sudan will be equipped with biblical leadership principles to ultimately become a better, more peaceful, and prosperous nation.

7. Praise God the Burundian programs Good News for All and Jesus is the Answer continue to be well-loved across the country!

Latin America and the Caribbean

Broadcast from the island of Bonaire, TWR programming can be heard across much of northern Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from local FM stations. Local teams also share the hope of the gospel through on-the-ground initiatives in their communities.

8. Pray for incoming RTM Cuba leader Moisés. Pray that his youthful vigour will stir the hearts of Cuba to experience the hope of Christ.

9. Please pray for RTM Cuba leader Alberto, who continues to await visa confirmation so he can join his family in the United States and carry out God’s will for him there after years of faithful service with RTM Cuba.

10. Pray for those listening to our two Cuban programs, Messages of Faith and Hope and Our Home, broadcast from the TWR transmitter on Bonaire.

11. In Paraguay, the TWR Women of Hope team shares the love of Christ with women in three prisons. Pray that these women find their purpose in Christ.

12. Pray that children listening to Bible Stories Alive from local FM stations across Latin America and the Caribbean are excited to engage with the stories of Scripture and grow in their faith.

13. Praise God for the more than 500 media players we have distributed across the region in the last two years. Pray that recipients grow in faith as they listen to the biblical content included on the media players.

14. Praise God for the infrastructure and technology that enables RTM Colombia to spread the hope of the gospel through recording programs in their office and studio space.

Discipleship Essentials

Discipleship Essentials is available in more than 20 languages and is used by individuals for personal study and in thousands of small groups in Canada and around the world.

15. Praise God for providing DE in new languages! Please pray for those using the materials in the Bambara, Peruvian Quechua, Tagalog, Hiligaynon and Albanian languages.

16. Pray for those accessing DE online on TWR360, YouTube and the DE Android and iOS apps. Pray that their faith is strengthened as they watch, listen and read.

17. Our partner, Together Network, trains believers in the Middle East and North Africa. Pray those who receive training live as dedicated believers and act as role models to the people they serve and encounter.

18. Praise God for the more than 28,000 small groups worldwide using Discipleship Essentials to grow in their faith.

19. Praise God that the translation of DE in Hausa is complete! Pray for the production team as they complete the audio programs.

20. Pray for DE Partnership Development Director Tony and DE Southeast Asia Regional Consultant and Partnership Development Coordinator Elena as they build new partnerships and strengthen existing partnerships with groups and denominations who are using DE in their discipleship ministries.

21. Pray for the distribution of DE in Indonesian. Praise God for the multiplication efforts of the more than 200 people who received DE training in Indonesia this year.

Portable Media Devices

Whether listening to content in a group, on a media player or privately from an SD card on their phone, these devices provide biblical teaching directly into the hands of people in their heart 
language.

22. Media players help equip pastors to grow in their faith and build their congregations. After a recent media player distribution in Kenya in partnership with Thru the Bible and ShareWord Global, one pastor shared, “[This media player] has been more than the audio Bible to me; it is a Bible school.” Praise God!

23. Praise God for the ways in which portable media devices such as media players, radios, SD cards and USBs provide people with biblical resources in a format that is more effective for them.

24. In partnership with Thru the Bible and Norea Media Mission in Denmark, we distributed media players with the New Testament and Thru the Bible sermons in the Amharic, Oromo, Somali and Tigrinya languages in Ethiopia. Pray that the small groups who 
received a player will grow in their faith.

25. Pray for those who receive an SD card at a Persian ministry conference. Pray that the biblical content shared will continue to encourage and equip believers when they return home.

26. Praise God for the SD card distribution which took place in Indonesia this year. The feedback from the pastors who received SD cards indicated that the material helps maintain enthusiasm and is applicable in their discipleship ministries.

27. In remote parts of Central Asia, media players provide access to biblical content where churches may not exist and pastors may not often visit. Pray for those living in these areas to find Christian community.

28. Listener groups and radio home groups around the world use media players to listen to sermons and biblical programming together and then discuss what they have heard. Pray that group members would grow in faith as they meet, listen and discuss.

Canada

TWR Canada provides resources for the Canadian Church, as well as tools to help share the hope of Jesus in the heart languages of our neighbours.

29. CultureCross was created for the Canadian church to assist Christians in knowing how to share the gospel with people of other cultures. Pray for the churches and organizations going through the 12-week series this fall.

30. Praise God for the ways La Parole Vivante opens doors for the gospel to be heard and spread through television across Quebec.
