Ministry in Asia
Across Asia, the message of hope is being shared through radio broadcasts and follow-up ministries. God is changing lives!
1. Earlier this year, two training events were held in Indonesia to introduce pastors and church leaders to Discipleship Essentials. Pray that this resource will bless the Indonesian church.
2. Pray the good news of Christ reaches those searching for hope in Pakistan through programs such as The Prophets and The Way of Righteousness.
3. Pray for those across Japan who hear the truth of Jesus through the SON-Lift project, which shares stories from the Gospels in audio programs on local FM stations and online.
4. Pray that Sri Lankan listeners of God's Unique Book will have the opportunity to listen every week. Pray that new listeners, many being of Buddhist background, are comforted and encouraged by the love of Christ.
5. Pray for TWR Motion’s ongoing video production to create a series of animated videos to share the gospel with Thai Buddhists.
6. Radio home groups provide fellowship for believers where a local church may not yet exist. Pray that these groups will be an encouragement for those who gather.
China Ministry
Our China ministry includes SOTA, our 3-4 year seminary program for the Chinese church, as well as other ministry initiatives including Discipleship Essentials, Bible Stories Alive, and training events for Chinese church leaders.
7. Pray for the ministry-focused fellowship trainings being held this year. Young believers are taking on some of the teaching responsibilities. Pray for them as they step into this new role.
8. Please pray that SOTA students across China will effectively implement what they learn from fellowships and their studies into their ministries. Pray that what they learn will assist them in leading and discipling.
9. SOTA now has three study tracks: the pastoral, ministry-focused, and missions tracks. Pray that students will be effectively equipped in these focused paths of study.
10. Pray for SOTA in Germany, where there are nearly 50 active students. These students represent churches in approximately 30 cities across the country.
11. Pray for SOTA students who are pastors and missionaries. Some are closely monitored by the government. Pray for God’s protection, wisdom, strength and courage.
12. Many of the China ministry’s training sessions are done using online platforms. Please pray for protection while using these platforms.
13. Pray for the health and safety of the China ministry team around the world. Many are balancing multiple responsibilities.
Training
Around the world, pastors and church leaders don’t have the same opportunities we have in Canada to grow in faith and leadership. By partnering with the Church in training, we build a stronger global Church, helping local churches grow in faith and reach their communities with the hope of Christ.
14. Pray that leaders in South Sudan will be equipped with biblical leadership principles to ultimately become a better, more peaceful, and prosperous nation through Tools for Wise Leadership.
15. In partnership with other organizations like Thru the Bible and GAiN, TWR Canada assembles media players containing content including a New Testament and Thru the Bible for distribution to pastors and church leaders at training events around the world. Pray that these media players are a helpful resource to those who receive them.
16. Every Man a Warrior is TWR’s ministry for men. Pray for the director of Every Man a Warrior Canada, Robert Barbeau, as he shares about this ministry across the country and invites men to grow in their faith.
17. Pray for the many Chinese pastors and church leaders who attend training seminars, workshops, and other events in Canada and online. Pray that what they learn will strengthen their ministries and build up healthy churches.
18. SOTA provides seminary training to Chinese believers. Pray for the students as they balance their studies and daily lives.
19. Praise God that Christian communities across the world benefit from using Discipleship Essentials for both small group study and for training small group leaders. Pray that all who use this resource will grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.
20. CultureCross was created for the Canadian church to assist Christians in knowing how to share the gospel with people of other cultures. Praise God for the recent launch of this resource and pray for those who will use it.
Africa
From radio broadcasts to capital projects to on-the-ground ministry and the work of missionaries, our reach across Africa is vast, just like the region.
21. Across West Africa, people gather in groups to listen to Discipleship Essentials and other biblical programs and discuss what they have learned. Pray that each member would grow in faith.
22. Our two programs in Burundi, Good News for All and Jesus is the Answer, speak hope to the nation. Pray that all who listen will grow in faith.
23. We are working with TWR Kenya to upgrade their FM network to more effectively reach the country. Pray that everything needed to do the upgrades would come together quickly.
24. Pray for the Dunlop family in South Africa. Nathan is working on several audio and video production projects for TWR globally, and Megan continues her role as member care coordinator for the Africa region.
25. Praise God that the radio program Strengthening Families through the Word of God has been healing families in Eswatini.
26. Pray for TWR Canada missionaries Greg and Ingrid Clarke in their roles as station manager and in the finance department at the transmitting site in Eswatini.
27. Pray that Women of Hope programs will continue to provide women across Mali and Côte d’Ivoire with hope and healing in Jesus.
Women’s Ministry
TWR Canada’s ministry to women includes TWR Women of Hope, which equips women around the world to discover the hope of Jesus, understand the Word of God and grow in faith.
28. Pray for the TWR Women of Hope team in Paraguay as they effectively reach out to imprisoned women across the country with the hope of the gospel.
29. In Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, Women of Hope is broadcast in the French and Bambara languages. Pray that the women who listen will understand the love God has for them and the hope that he provides.
30. Pray for Jeanne, TWR Women of Hope coordinator in Mali, as she plans for and speaks at churches and conferences in her own and surrounding countries.
31. This month, TWR Women of Hope leaders across West and Central Africa gathered in Côte d’Ivoire for fellowship and training. Pray that this was an effective time of rejuvenation and training for the leaders.
