Please join us in praying for…

Canada

TWR Canada provides resources for the Canadian Church, as well as tools to help share the hope of Jesus in the heart languages of our neighbours.

1. Happy Canada Day! Praise God for the ways he is at work across our nation. Pray our country will see their need for Jesus and find hope in salvation through him.

Media Players

Whether listening to content in a group on a media player or privately from an SD card on their phone, these devices provide biblical teaching directly into the hands of people in their heart language.

2. Praise God for the successful distribution of media players in the Achi language in Guatemala! They were so well received that the local missionaries requested an additional 10 media players to distribute!
3. In some areas of the world, it is dangerous to have Christian materials. Praise God for providing discreet methods to safely share resources.
4. Praise God for the nearly 500 players that have been sent to Chile and Peru already this year in partnership with ShareWord Global and Thru the Bible. Pray for the remaining distribution and that lives would be changed through technology loaded with biblical content.
5. Praise God for the 500 media players distributed to pastors in Kenya in partnership with ShareWord Global and Thru the Bible last year. The recipients have requested additional content, and we have sent 500 SD cards in response.
6. TWR Canada provides media players for believers to use as an evangelism tool in reaching new Canadians with the gospel. Pray for those who will receive a player in their heart language.
7. Earlier this year, we sent five media players containing The Way of Righteousness in the Nubi language to Uganda with a local missionary, who later requested 50 more! Pray for the distribution of these players.
8. Pray for TWR Canada missionary Jeremy Mullin as he assembles media player and SD card orders for use around the world.

Women’s Ministry

TWR Canada’s ministry to women includes TWR Women of Hope, which equips women around the world to understand the Word of God, grow in faith and discover the hope of Jesus.

9. Pray for Susie Pek, TWR Women of Hope global director, as she continues to learn the scope of the ministry and make plans for the future.
10. Pray for the listeners of Women of Hope programming across West Africa. Praise God for the lives changed through spiritual and practical teachings!
11. Around the world, thousands of women pray for the ministry of TWR Women of Hope each month. Praise God for these faithful prayer warriors!
12. Pray for Jeanne, TWR Women of Hope coordinator in Mali, as she plans for and speaks at churches and conferences in her own and surrounding countries.
13. TWR Canada missionary Jonathan Griffiths is a consultant with TWR Women of Hope. Pray for him and the global leadership team as they strategize and make plans for the future.
14. Pray for the TWR Canada women’s ministry team to see and carry out new opportunities for sharing the hope of Jesus with women across our country and around the world.
15. Around the world, TWR Women of Hope has women who oversee the various country teams in their regions. Pray for Miia, Inja and Sphiwe in their roles as regional coordinators.

Training

Around the world, pastors and church leaders don’t have the same opportunities we have in Canada to grow in faith and leadership. By partnering with the Church in training, we build a stronger global Church, helping local churches grow in faith and reach their communities with the hope of Christ.

16. Persian ministry conferences allow believers to gather safely for fellowship and Bible teaching. Pray that these conferences would be spiritually filling and encouraging for attendees.
17. Pray for the many Chinese pastors and church leaders who attend training seminars, workshops, and other events in Canada and online. Pray that what they learn would strengthen their ministries and build up healthy churches.
18. Earlier this year, TWR leaders across West and Central Africa attended training on project management and reporting. Pray that what they learned would be beneficial in growing their ministries.
19. Pray that Leadership Essentials would help small group leaders across the Middle East, North Africa and the Philippines be better equipped to lead and disciple.
20. Pray for the production of CultureCross, a tool for the Canadian church to assist Christians in knowing how to share the gospel with people of other cultures.
21. Across the Middle East and North Africa, church leaders are being trained to start discipleship movements using DE. Pray that the leaders who are trained would effectively implement what they have learned in their ministries.
22. Praise God for providing online platforms Christians can use for training and fellowship, particularly in parts of the world where it may be unsafe to gather in person.

Radio Broadcasting

Radio broadcasting allows listeners from hard-to-reach places to urban centres, and everywhere in between, to access the gospel. From FM stations in countries like Burundi to high-powered radio from Bonaire, Eswatini and more, radio broadcasting shares the hope of the gospel around the world.

23. Across Kenya, Bible Stories Alive is broadcast on four FM stations. Pray that the children and families who listen would grow in faith.
24. Praise God for the interest from churches across Quebec to host a repeater station for our Quebec FM station! Please pray for the process of applying for licenses through CRTC and for quick approval to begin broadcasting more broadly.
25. Strengthening Families Through the Word of God is a new program in Eswatini written to guide families in having conversations that are avoided in their culture. Pray that the program would open the door for families to communicate on difficult topics from a biblical perspective.
26. The Burundian programs Good News for All and Jesus is the Answer are well-loved across the country. Pray that these programs would continue to draw people to Christ.
27. Across Sri Lanka, God’s Unique Book introduces Buddhists to the truth of God’s Word. Pray that the hearts of many across the country would be open to the good news of Jesus.
28. Against the Current is a program for young adults in Uruguay, encouraging them to live a life of obedience to God rather than following the culture. Pray that this program would encourage listeners.
29. In West Africa, the Discipleship Essentials radio program is changing lives! Pray for all those tuning in and growing in faith.

Media Content

Our media content comes in different forms: audio, video or text resources. But what unifies it all is the hope and truth of the gospel.

30. The team in Serbia is completing the translation and production of a series of biblical videos and songs for Roma children. They report that only four songs exist for Serbian Roma children. Pray that these videos and songs would introduce these children to the hope of the gospel.
31. Pray for the production teams in Quebec as they produce programming such as the Parole Vivante TV show and Heralds of Hope’s Moment of Hope.
