Holy, Holy, Holy

“Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendour of holiness.” (Psalm 29:1-2)

“Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!” by Reginald Heber is a beautiful song echoing the truth of who God is. He is merciful, he is mighty, he is three in one, and he is the One who deserves all glory.

Whether it is early in the morning, late in the night, or anytime in between, we are called to ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name.

In our short lives, we will not have enough time or words to sing all the praise that God is worthy of, but we are still called to give glory to God in all things, recognizing who he is and what he has done. He is holy and he has created us to give glory to him.

May all God’s works praise his name, and may we raise our voices to join in praise every day and in every moment. No matter our circumstances, may we have the confidence to sing out, “Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!”
