He Restores My Soul
He Restores My Soul
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psalm 23:1-3)
We have a Good Shepherd who has laid down his life for us and taken it back up again! This Shepherd has not and will not abandon his flock but seeks out, leads, knows by name, and restores each and every one of us.
If your soul feels empty, he satisfies with his presence. If your soul is restless and weary, he leads to green pastures. If your soul is thirsty, he leads to quiet streams of living water. If you have wandered away into sin, he seeks out his lost sheep and leads them in the paths of righteousness.
In any and every way that our soul needs restoration, there is no better place to go than to Jesus, the Lord, our Good Shepherd. We will never find a better love and care than what the Good Shepherd brings. He knows us through and through, the good, the bad, and the ugly. As scary as it can be to be fully known with all of our failings and wrongdoings, there is no one better to run to than Jesus. To run away is to expose ourselves to devastating danger but to run to the Good Shepherd when he calls your name is where healing, security and restoration are found!
The Good Shepherd is calling your name to restore your soul! Hear his voice and follow the Good Shepherd and the Restorer of your soul!
