TWR Canada’s Women’s Ministry

TWR Canada’s ministry to women includes TWR Women of Hope, which equips women around the world to understand the Word of God, grow in faith and discover the hope of Jesus.

1. 2022 marks 25 years of TWR Women of Hope! Praise God for the legacy of this ministry and pray for a fruitful ministry for years to come.
2. Pray for Dr. Peggy Banks, global leader of TWR Women of Hope, as she leads the ministry.
3. TWR Canada missionary Jonathan Griffiths is a consultant with TWR Women of Hope. Pray for him and the global leadership team as they strategize and make plans for the future.

TWR Canada’s Media Players

Whether listening to content in a group on a media player or privately from an SD card on their phone, these devices provide biblical teaching directly into the hands of people in their heart language.

4. Pray for the thousands of radio home groups across South Asia who listen to Bible teachings on a media player together and discuss what they have learned. Pray for growth in faith.
5. At DE conferences around the world, attendees often receive an SD card containing DE in their heart language. Pray they would take this resource and use it to share the gospel and grow in faith.
6. Praise God for media players and other forms of portable media, which allow us to share the hope of the gospel with the world!
7. In some areas of the world, it is dangerous to have Christian materials. Pray for safe distribution of resources using discreet methods.
8. In partnership with Thru the Bible, we have recently distributed players to countries such as Liberia and Kenya. Pray for those who have received a player.
9. Earlier this year, we sent media players to Niger with a missionary from Humboldt Alliance Church. Praise God that these players were an answer to prayer and have had a positive impact on the community.
10. As we plan for media player distributions in 2023, pray that those who need to hear the gospel will receive a player in their heart language.

TWR Canada’s Ministry in Africa

From radio broadcasts to capital projects to on-the-ground ministry and the work of missionaries, our reach across Africa is vast, just like the region.

11. Pray that God would work through our two programs in Burundi, Good News for All and Jesus is the Answer, to change the lives of listeners.
12. Pray for TWR Canada missionaries in Eswatini, Greg and Ingrid Clarke, as they support the work of the transmitter site through their roles of station director and finance manager.
13. TWR Canada missionaries Steve and Teresa Murray have been in South Africa for nearly a year. Praise God for the work they have already done there and pray that their work would continue to be a blessing to the ministry.
14. In Kenya, Bible Stories Alive continues to have a profound effect on the lives of children! Pray that the children could continue to visit the radio stations where they participate in the program and share poems, riddles, songs and stories.
15. Last month, the TWR team in West Africa held a leadership training event for new leaders and partners across the region. Pray for the attendees as they implement their new knowledge into their ministries.
16. Pray for the development of new programs and initiatives across Africa. The teams on the ground are developing new and creative ways to share the gospel and disciple believers in the best ways for their communities.
    
    

TWR Canada’s Media Content

Our media content comes in different forms: audio, video or text resources. But what unifies it all is the hope and truth of the gospel.

18. Pray for the production teams in Quebec as they produce programming such as the Parole Vivante TV show and Heralds of Hope’s Moment of Hope.
19. In Sri Lanka, the production team for God’s Unique Book creates Bible-based programs focusing on current events and listener questions. Pray for wisdom as they produce new programs.
20. The Persian ministry team has been developing a new program for youth, as well as a program designed to be shared on social media. Please pray for the team as they continue working on these programs.
21. The team in Serbia is translating and producing a series of biblical videos and songs for Roma children. They report that only four songs exist for Serbian Roma children. Pray that these videos and songs would introduce these children to the hope of the gospel.
22. Pray for the Arabic and Spanish Bible Stories Alive production teams, including TWR Canada missionary Jeremy Mullin, as they produce the stories out of the TWR Canada office.
23. CultureCross is a video-based series designed to encourage and assist Canadian Christians in sharing the gospel with their newcomer neighbours. Pray for the ongoing video production.
24. The SON-Lift series began as a program to share the gospel with unreached people groups in China. Pray for the production team now creating this series in Japanese.

Praise God!

As we end 2022 and look ahead to 2023, let us take some time to look back at the year and praise God for his faithfulness. God is good!

25. Merry Christmas! Today we celebrate the birth of God’s Son who he sent from heaven to earth. Praise God for the hope of salvation and his endless supply of goodness and love.
26. Praise God for the increase in children attending Bible Stories Alive listener groups in Kenya! One pastor reports having more than 700 children attending weekly, up from 300 in 2020.
27. We know of at least 21 people who professed faith in Jesus at Persian ministry conferences this year. Praise God!
28. Praise God for the many ways he protected the TWR teams in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus this year. Pray that he would continue to protect and provide for these teams as they speak hope to their nations.
29. Thank God for our faithful financial and prayer supporters who partner with us to share the truth of the gospel with the world and disciple believers.
30. Praise God for a new program for families in South Africa. Some of the programs are based on TWR Canada’s Families Following Jesus series. Pray that this program would encourage families to grow in faith together.
31. As we head into 2023, we praise God for 50 years of speaking hope to the world through TWR Canada. Thank God for providing for the ministry which allows us to bring people to Christ through media content, training and technology.
