Please join us in praying for…

Media Content

Our media content comes in different forms: audio, video or text resources. But what unifies it all is the hope and truth of the gospel.

1. The SON-Lift series began as a program to share the gospel with unreached people groups in China. Pray for the production team now creating this series in Japanese.
2. In partnership with TWR Motion, we are creating a series of videos to introduce Thai Buddhists to the gospel. Pray for the ongoing production of these videos.
3. In Ukraine, we are creating a series of documentary-style videos showing how people are living in the midst of the war and what they have lost and gained. Pray for the production team as they travel the country, interviewing people and filming the reality they are living in.
4. Pray for Pastor Edijan and the production team for Voice of Truth in North Macedonia. Pray that the programs they write and produce would answer the spiritual questions of the Roma people living in the city of Prilep.
5. The God’s Unique Book production team create the programs in response to the questions and needs of the people of Sri Lanka. Pray for wisdom as they choose which topics to cover.

Latin America & the Caribbean

Broadcast from the island of Bonaire, TWR programming can be heard across much of northern Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from local FM stations. Local teams also share the hope of the gospel through on-the-ground initiatives in their communities.

6. Praise God for the purchase of a new office space for RTM Colombia! Please pray for the logistics of renovations and moving in.
7. Please pray for RTM Cuba leader Alberto, who is transitioning leadership responsibilities to a young man named Moisés Pérez Padrón. Pray that the transition would be smooth and effective.
8. Pray for incoming RTM Cuba leader Moisés Pérez Padrón to understand all the components of the ministry and to guide the ministry forward in God’s will.
9. Pray for those listening to our two Cuban programs, Messages of Faith and Hope and Our Home, broadcast from the TWR transmitter on Bonaire.
10. In Uruguay, Against the Current encourages young adults to stand firm in their faith. Pray that listeners would be encouraged to live out their lives using a biblical worldview.
11. Pray for the set-up of a mini recording studio in Mexico. This will allow the team to produce a program called The Carpenter's Workshop, which will provide biblical marriage advice to couples across the country.
12. Translation of a subset of Discipleship Essentials in Peruvian Quechua has begun! Please pray for wisdom for the translator to know how to translate terms which don’t have an equivalent phrase in Peruvian Quechua.

China Ministry

Our China ministry includes SOTA, our 3-4 year seminary program for the Chinese church, as well as other ministry initiatives including Discipleship Essentials, Bible Stories Alive, and training events for Chinese church leaders.

13. Pray for wisdom for the China Ministry team. They are developing several new courses and study tracks to meet the needs of the Chinese church.
14. Praise God for the SOTA retreat which happened earlier this year. SOTA staff from Canada, China and Germany were able to meet in person and grow in faith and fellowship together. This was the first time the team had met in person!
15. Pray for SOTA in Germany, where there are 51 active students and 23 graduates. These students and graduates represent churches in approximately 30 cities across the country.
16. The SOTA team is finding opportunities to equip the Chinese diaspora in new locations. Pray for wisdom as they make plans for the future.
17. Many of the China Ministry’s training sessions are done using online platforms. Please pray for protection over these platforms and pray that in-person trainings would increase now that COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
18. Pray that SOTA students around the world would remain steadfast and dedicated to their studies. Pray that what they learn can be implemented quickly into their churches and ministries.
19. With COVID-19 restrictions lifted, student visits can begin again. Pray that these visits would be an encouragement to both the students and staff.

Discipleship Essentials

Discipleship Essentials is available in more than 15 languages and is used by individuals for personal study and in thousands of small groups in Canada and around the world.

20. Pray for our new DE Partnership Director, Tony Tira. Pray that he would quickly understand all of the facets of the ministry and begin building new partnerships around the world.
21. Praise God for providing DE in new languages! Please pray for the translation and production teams in Bambara, Peruvian Quechua, Tagalog and Hiligaynon.
22. Please pray for the ongoing translation and production of DE in Spanish, Hausa and Indonesian.
23. Across the Philippines, DE is used in small groups, Sunday school classes for adults, youth and children, and for sermon preparation. Pray for all those who are deepening their faith using DE!
24. Praise God that the DE radio program in Arabic and French and the DE material in Hausa and Indonesian are now available on TWR360 and in the DE app!
25. There are more than 28,000 small groups around the world using DE to grow in faith together! Praise God!
26. Pray for the small groups using DE across the Middle East and North Africa. As they grow in faith together, each person is encouraged to go out and start their own small group, sharing the good news of Christ with their community.

Africa

From radio broadcasts to capital projects to on-the-ground ministry and the work of missionaries, our reach across Africa is vast, just like the region.

27. Across Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal, small groups are using media players to listen to programs and discuss what they have learned. Pray for growth in faith and new believers!
28. Bible Stories Alive is aired on four FM stations across Kenya. Please pray that these stories would spark a desire for children to grow in their faith.
29. Pray for TWR Canada missionaries Greg and Ingrid Clarke, in their roles as station manager and in the finance department respectively. Pray for children Rebekah and Caleb who are preparing for a new school year.
30. Pray for those who received a media player containing the Knowing God drama series in the Aringa language in Uganda. Pray that many would come to know the Lord through this program.
31. Pray for TWR Canada missionaries Nathan and Megan Dunlop’s work in South Africa. Pray for Nathan’s continued work on the “Legacy of Adam” project and for Megan as she develops a ministry for third-culture kids.
