Please join us in praying for…

TWR Canada’s Training

Around the world, pastors and church leaders don’t have the same opportunities we have in Canada to grow in faith and leadership. By partnering with the Church in training, we build a stronger global Church, helping local churches grow in faith and reach their communities with the hope of Christ.

1. Across the Middle East and North Africa, church leaders are trained using Discipleship Essentials and then encouraged to go and start small groups. Pray for these leaders as they disciple believers.

TWR Canada’s Discipleship Essentials

Discipleship Essentials is available in more than 15 languages and is used by individuals for personal study and in thousands of small groups in Canada and around the world.

2. Praise God Discipleship Essentials is having a great impact through our partners with more than 24,000 small groups using DE around the world!
3. Pray that the DE radio program, broadcast in Spanish across Latin America and the Caribbean, and in French across West Africa would continue to encourage spiritual growth in the lives of listeners.
4. Praise God that small groups using DE in the Philippines resulted in over 866 newly baptized believers and the planting of 13 churches in 6 months!
5. Pray for DE champion Elena in the Philippines. She shares DE and trains church leaders through the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of the Philippines. Praise God for the growth in faith we are seeing as church leaders are trained and receive resources.
6. Pray for DE champion Mamdouh as he leads Together Network across the Middle East and North Africa, training believers to share their faith and create spiritual movements using DE and other resources.
7. TWR Canada missionary, McDaniel Phillips, works with our DE champions around the world. Pray for him as he supports the champions in their work.
8. Please pray for the continued translation and production of DE in Spanish, Hausa and Indonesian. Pray for the production teams, as well as for those who will use these resources.

TWR Canada’s Media Players

Whether listening to content in a group on a media player or privately from an SD card on their phone, these devices provide biblical teaching directly into the hands of people in their heart language.

9. Praise God for media players and other forms of portable media, which allow us to share the hope of the gospel with the world!
10. In partnership with Shareword Global and Thru the Bible, we are distributing 1,000 players across South America throughout 2023. Praise God for the players which have been sent to Chile and Peru already this year. Pray for the remaining distribution and that lives would be changed through technology.
11. At DE conferences around the world, attendees often receive an SD card containing DE in their heart language. Pray they would take this resource and use it to share the gospel and grow in faith.
12. Earlier this year we partnered with Global Aid Network (GAiN) and Thru the Bible to send 50 Swahili-language players to Tanzania, 230 Fongbe-language players to Benin and 70 English and Mano-language players to Liberia. Pray that the pastors who will receive these players containing a New Testament and Thru the Bible will find the materials helpful as they disciple others.
13. In some areas of the world, it is dangerous to have Christian materials. Pray for the safe distribution of resources using discreet methods.
14. Pray for the thousands of radio home groups across South Asia who listen to Bible teaching on a media player together. Pray that each person would grow in faith.
15. Pray for Women of Hope messages on media players to bring the comfort of Christ, as well as healing and renewed relationships.

TWR Canada’s Ministry in Latin America & the Caribbean

Broadcast from the island of Bonaire, TWR programming can be heard across much of northern Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as from local FM stations. Local teams also share the hope of the gospel through on-the-ground initiatives in their communities.

16. Pray for those listening to our two Cuban programs, Messages of Faith and Hope and Our Home, broadcast from the TWR transmitter on Bonaire.
17. Pray for Alberto, now 80 years old, as he continues to produce radio programs and follow up with listeners across the island of Cuba.
18. Pray for the development of church leaders to strengthen the church in Cuba. Pray for Alberto as he seeks to raise up a new leadership team to continue and grow the ministry he has invested in for so many years.
19. Pray for plans to translate a subset of DE into Peruvian Quechua. There are few, if any, discipleship resources available in this language.
20. Praise God the RTM Colombia team raised the funds needed for an office space! Pray for the team as they purchase their new office and finalize plans to move in and begin utilizing the space for better-organized program production and distribution.
21. In Uruguay, the program Against the Current encourages young adults to listen to God’s voice and direction. Pray that those listening would stand firm in their faith when culture challenges them to do otherwise.
22. Pray for the creation of a mini recording studio in Mexico, which will allow the team to produce a program called The Carpenter's Workshop, which will provide biblical marriage advice to couples across the country.

TWR Canada’s Media Content

Our media content comes in different forms: audio, video or text resources. But what unifies it all is the hope and truth of the gospel.

23. Pray for the Arabic and Spanish Bible Stories Alive production teams, including TWR Canada missionary Jeremy Mullin, as they produce the stories out of the TWR Canada office.
24. The SON-Lift series began as a program to share the gospel with unreached people groups in China. Pray for the production team now creating this series in Japanese.
25. The Persian ministry team is developing a new program for youth, as well as a program designed to be shared on social media. Please pray for the team as they work on these programs.
26. Praise God for the many people who hear the gospel through audio programs around the world, who would not otherwise have an opportunity to hear this good news.
27. Pray for the production teams in Quebec as they produce programming such as the Parole Vivante TV show and Heralds of Hope’s Moment of Hope.
28. In Sri Lanka, the production team for God’s Unique Book creates Bible-based programs focusing on current events and listener questions. Pray for wisdom as they produce new programs.
29. The team in Serbia is creating a series of biblical videos and songs for Roma children, which will be released in the coming months. Pray that the Serbian Roma children will experience the truth and hope of the gospel as they watch and listen.

TWR Canada’s Ministry in Europe and CAMENA

While Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa are diverse in culture and language, one commonality is the need to hear the gospel. Radio programming, training conferences and missionaries are all part of our ministry in this region of the world.

30. Please continue to pray for Ukraine. Pray that those who are suffering as the war continues will find peace through the good news of salvation.
